PUBLIC NOTICE REGARDING THE APRIL 7TH ELECTION

The Town of Minturn takes the Covid-19/Coronavirus very seriously. In consideration of the health and safety of all citizens the Town is encouraging all voters to request an Absent Voter Application and Ballot and then to complete and submit your ballot to the Minturn Clerk’s office prior to Election Day, April 7, 2020.

Applications for Absentee Ballots can be requested by calling the Town Clerk’s Office or via Email (970/827-5645 Ext 1, treasurer@minturn.org).  You may also obtain an absentee ballot application below.  You MUST submit an application in order to vote by absentee ballot.  Any questions regarding absentee ballots, please contact Jay Brunvand at the number or email above.  

Completed absentee ballot applications MUST have an original signature, and the application may be scanned or photographed and emailed, as long as the application contains an original signature.  Absentee Ballot Applications can also be dropped off at Town Hall.

Once a completed absentee ballot application has been received from a qualified voter, the Minturn Clerk's Office will mail an absentee ballot via USPS to the address specified on the Application form.

All ballots must be received in the Clerk’s Office by 7pm on Election Day, April 7, 2020 at Town Hall. The Town Hall will be closed but limited Staff will be in the building. 

Please call Town Hall PRIOR to delivering your Absent Ballot Application or Ballot to arrange with staff, who are generally able to take delivery outside of Town Hall due to health concerns.

It is requested that if ballots cannot be mailed to the Town Hall prior to April 1, 2020, that they be hand delivered to the Town Clerk’s Office (Attn. Jay Brunvand, Town Treasurer / Clerk).

I, Jay Brunvand, Town Clerk/Treasurer for the Town of Minturn, State of Colorado do hereby certify that the following is a true detail of the ballot contents for the Minturn Municipal Election.  The aforesaid Municipal Election is to be held at the Minturn Town Hall 302 Pine St, Minturn on April 7, 2020 between the hours of 7:00a.m. and 7:00p.m. in the lawful poling place designated for all Early and Day of Voting.
