About Us

The Public Works Department maintains municipal streets, operates the Town water system, services Town-owned buildings and maintenance of Town vehicles. When you’re driving along Main Street, visiting Little Beach Park, or drinking Minturn’s clean, pure water, you are enjoying some of the services provided by Public Works!

Water System

The Town of Minturn serves potable water to all properties within the Minturn town boundaries. Eagle River Water & Sanitation District (ERWSD) is responsible for all sewer service. 

For issues related to water service lines between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Mon-Fri call the Minturn Town Hall at 970-827-5645. For after hours and weekends call Vail Dispatch at 970-479-2201 and they will connect you with Minturn's on-call public work's staff. 

 

Water & Trash Service

For water and residential trash service, billing setup, questions, or to change your residential trash service, please call the Town Treasurer at (970) 827-5645.  The Town currently contracts with Vail Honeywagon for all residential trash and recycling services.  Commercial services may contract with any local waste management provider they choose.  

The Town manages its own water utility.  Please see below for an update regarding water and trash billing.  Sewer services will continue to be provided by Eagle River Water and Sanitation District (see below).  

 

Utility Billing Update - January 2025:
To better serve you, we are pleased to announce that we will be upgrading our utility billing software used to service the customers of Minturn. This will include billing for water and trash services. Sewer billing will continue through Eagle River Water & Sanitation District (meaning you will now receive 2 separate bills).
You will receive your first bill from Muni Billing in February 2025 (for the January 2025 billing period). 

On your first bill, you will receive information on how to connect to the new customer portal. You will be provided your new account number, the customer portal URL and a unique access code to setup your account.
On the customer portal, you will be able to:


• Make a one-time payment
• Setup autopay
• Select your bill delivery method (mail, email or both)
• Review your bill and payment history


Customer Portal: to create an account, go to the URL and click Create New Account. Fill in New Customer Account - your Account #, unique access Code and Email address, then click Create Account. An email will be sent with a link – Click Here to Confirm Account.
From this link, you will be prompted to Confirm My Account by selecting your username and password.


Payments can be made by credit/debit card or e-check.
