Prescribed Fire Operations

Eagle Valley Wildland logo

Eagle Valley Wildland and the Upper Colorado River Interagency Fire Management Unit are continuing with scheduled pile burn operations throughout Eagle County.  Information will continue to be updated on both agencies Facebook pages.

Fire managers are closely monitoring conditions and will only proceed with ignitions if the necessary conditions are met for a safe, effective burn. Smoke from these prescribed fires is often visible along the I-70 corridor from Eagle to Vail. Smoke is expected to dissipate throughout the day but may remain on the valley floors as temperatures drop. Fire managers have developed a detailed prescribed fire plan and obtained smoke permits from the State of Colorado. Prescribed fire smoke may affect your health.
