Town Annual Events

Minturn

The Town of Minturn strives to host quality events and educational programming for its citizens and business community.  Every summer, the Minturn Market brings a multitude of unique vendors and thousands of visitors to historic downtown Minturn for shopping, live music, socializing and family fun.  In addition, we host a variety of other events including a free summer concert series, winter community dinners, and holiday celebrations including Independence Day and Halloween.  Please visit the Community Calendar on the homepage to confirm event happenings, dates and times.

Minturn Events (subject to change)

 

Christmas Tree Bonfire (and Pickup) 

  • Date: 2025 Date TBD (Typically the first or second Friday in January)
  • Time: 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
  • Location: Little Beach Park, upper parking lot, 800 Cemetery Rd, Minturn,
  • Description: Come enjoy a small-town celebration to close out the holiday season. Visit with friends around a warm fire and enjoy free hot chocolate and s'mores. Residents may leave their undecorated trees at the end of their driveway on designated dates, for free pick-up by the Minturn Public Works Dept, or you can drop your tree off directly to the upper parking lot at Little Beach Park anytime within that same time frame.  For specific details, visit the events calendar on our homepage, and stay tuned for email updates.  

Minturn Market

  • Dates: Saturdays, June 22 through September 7th, 2024
  • Time: 9:00am to 2:00pm
  • Location: Downtown Minturn
  • Description: The original Eagle County market, and the local’s favorite, the Minturn Market is a true artisan market showcasing a variety of local products – food trucks, fresh produce, baked goods, art & pottery, clothing & jewelry, pet products and much more! You’ll enjoy live music, a variety of vendors, live art demonstrations, whisky and wine tastings, and a Kids Zone featuring a bounce house, climbing wall, face painting, and a build-your-own stuffed animal station.  The Minturn market takes place Saturdays, June 22nd through September 7th from 9am – 2pm rain or shine, in historic downtown Minturn.  For more information, visit our Market page at https://www.minturn.org/explore-minturn/pages/minturn-market

Independence Day Celebration

  • Date: July 2nd (Always held on July 2nd, every year, regardless of day of week)

  • Description:  Minturn's annual Independence Day Celebration will take place on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024.  We will have live music from The Vail Valley Band, with an opener by The Hip Snacks.  We will also have a bounce house, mechanical bull, face painting and a balloon artist.  Food, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase by Rocky Mountain Taco.  BYOB refreshments welcome, but please no glass in the park.  Blankets and low camp chairs welcome.  Dogs welcome, but please keep your furry friends leashed.  For additional details, visit https://www.minturn.org/home/events/1611

Minturn Summer Concert Series

  • Date: Thursdays, June 27th through August 16th, 2024 (No concert on July 4th)
  • Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm
  • Location: Little Beach Park
  • Description: Free outdoor concert series hosted by the Minturn Community Fund. This is a “can’t miss” Minturn summer event!

Minturn Hometown Throwdown

  • Date: Saturday, September 28th, 2024 -  Fall Kickoff Music Festival 
  • Times: All Day (Afternoon / Evening)
  • Locations: Multiple Outdoor Locations
  • Description: Come hear great local music at multiple outdoor venues throughout town

Minturn Halloween

  • Date: October 30, 2024 (Always held on October 30th each year, regardless of day of week)
  • Time: 5:30pm to 7:30pm (or until the candy runs out)
  • Location: Town Hall
  • Description:  Trick or Treating at Town Hall, along with Photo Ops

Town Tree Lighting

  • Date: Friday, December 6, 2024 (Always held the first Friday in December each year)
  • Time: 6pm - 7pm
  • Location: Downtown Minturn (Holy Toledo)
  • Description: A traditional small-town tree lighting celebration for both locals and visitors.  Kid's Trivia and Prizes, a Reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, Free Hot Cocoa, Carolers and More!
