CDOT logo

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) with its contract partner United Companies will begin work on U.S. Highway 24 south of Minturn in late April between Mile Points 147 and 158. Travelers can expect lane and shoulder closures beginning April 29. The project is scheduled for completion in late 2024.  Work on the project includes surface treatment, 2.5-inch HMA mill and overlay, pavement markings and delineation on U.S. 24 south of Minturn (MP 147-158). Once complete the project will improve driveability for motorists and provide safer conditions for pedestrians and cyclists.

Travelers to and from Leadville can avoid this and other nearby construction projects by using Colorado Highway 91 and Interstate 70.
