Town Cleanup Day

Minturn Town Clean-up will take place Saturday, June 3rd, from 7am - 12noon.  

This is an opportunity to recycle unwanted electronics, yard debris, and discard those messy items laying around. 

Traditional Items Accepted:
Tires – they’re everywhere!
Batteries
Metal
Small appliances
Patio furniture
Broken bicycles
Toilets
Tarps
Mattresses
Bed frames
Broken basketball hoops
Children’s toys
Buckets
Broken hammocks
Barstools
Old grills
Most any outside junk that upsets your neighbors
 
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED:
Construction materials
Oil
Paint
Styrofoam
Large quantities of old carpet
Trailers
 

No more than one truckload from any household this year to allow room for everyone

LED SWAP:
Incandescent Light bulbs can be exchanged for LED bulbs for free while supplies last! Special thanks to Xcel Energy! All attendees will receive a FREE Home Energy LED Conservation Kit while supplies last.
 
EWaste - Electronics Recycling (Fee Based) by Techno Rescue:
Computers, monitors, cell phones, TVs, copiers, fax machines, VCRs & more.

eWaste pricing:

  • LCD Monitors - $5 each
  • Flat Screen TV’s (All Sizes) - $40 each
  • CRT TV or CRT Monitors 32" and Smaller - $30 Each
  • CRT TV or CRT monitors 33" and Larger - $50 Each
  • Floor Model Printers - $60 Each                         
  • Projection/DLP/Console TV - $150 Each

Items that are considered free recycling are Servers, Desktops, Laptops, Tablets, and Cell Phones.

Senior Pickups - Seniors that would like a cleanup day pickup at their residence must call ahead.  Please call Cindy Krieg to get on the list.  970-445-2415, or email events@minturn.org.  Please be sure to contact us no later than noon on Wednesday, May 31st.  This service is available for SENIORS ONLY, and only accepted items can be picked up.  We will need your name, address, phone number, AND a list of items that you need picked up.  Limits apply.

DO YOU ENJOY WALKING THE RAILROAD TRACKS?  COME HELP US CLEAN THEM UP!

Take pride in your community and help clean up. Bring a team or ask a friend. The town is seeking volunteers for cleaning up high-use areas throughout town on cleanup day.
