On February 27th, 2008, the Minturn Town Council approved the Battle Mountain Annexation. That same meeting, the Council passed an ordinance approving a Water Service Agreement between the Town and the applicant. Prior, in March, 2006 the Town Council approved a Wastewater Service Agreement between the Town and the applicant.
