The Town of Minturn is currently recruiting for the following positions:

FINANCE DIRECTOR

Supervisory position responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, risk management and computer systems for the Town. Salary range $62,000 – $86,000. Responsible for the preparation and presentation of the annual budget, financial reports, debt and lease financing, and financial election questions. Develops and implements sound fiscal, risk management, and information technology policies and procedures. Manages the Town’s investment portfolio. Oversees the collection of the Town’s sales tax and Real Estate Transfer Tax. Requires thorough knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices and ability to perform financial analyses, reconciliations, forecasts, and reports.

Requires thorough understanding of municipal fund-accounting financial software applications. Working knowledge of the principles and practices of risk management. Requires any combination of experience and training equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting and five years of progressively responsible experience in government finance, accounting, and risk management, including two years of supervisory experience.
