Changes to Your Home

The Planning and Zoning Department of the Town of Minturn handles land use planning and zoning, building permits, sign permits, building inspections, and code enforcement. Our offices are located on the second floor of the Town Hall Building, 302 Pine Street.

Applications submittals are taken at the Minturn Town Hall at Monday – Friday at 302 Pine Street. Please contact the Planning and Zoning Department for further information (970) 827-5645

Be Bear Aware!

Goldilocks wake up! The bears of Minturn are here and are getting into our trash cans already.

As you might recall, the town passed its first Wildlife Protection Ordinance effective April 1, 2005. This law requires residents and business owners to secure garbage containers with a wildlife resistant or wildlife proof system, or be kept within a fully enclosed and secure structure. Residents may place their containers at the curb at or after 6:00 a.m. on the morning of the pickup. Waste Management will retrofit residential trash bins this month at the charge of $15 per container.
